Tell your MP: stop scapegoating migrants

Yet again, those in power are seeking to blame migrants to distract us from the real problems this country faces.

Just a few weeks ago, the Prime Minister echoed the words of Enoch Powell — a man whose infamous “Rivers of Blood” speech became a symbol of racism and division. This was a deliberate choice: to stir fear, fan the flames of hate, and scapegoat migrants in a moment of deep crisis.

We cannot allow this to become the new normal.

While the NHS buckles, housing becomes unaffordable, and communities struggle to survive, those in power are pointing the finger at people who move — our neighbours, our colleagues, our friends. Migrants are being blamed for problems they didn’t create, while the real issues go ignored.

Let’s be clear: the state of our infrastructure is not the fault of people seeking safety or a better life. It’s the result of years of underfunding, political neglect, and a government that prioritises billionaires and corporate profits over public good. Billions have been siphoned from health, housing and local services — and now, instead of fixing it, they want us to turn on each other.

We see through it. And we won’t be silent.

Inflammatory language and scapegoating tactics put lives at risk. They make people less safe. They fuel harassment, hate and violence on our streets. Enough is enough.

Write to Your MP Today

We are calling on MPs from all parties to:

Stop using language that dehumanises and scapegoats migrants

Speak out when others — including party leaders — cross the line

Focus on real solutions to the housing, healthcare, and cost-of-living crises.

Reject fear-mongering and stand up for dignity, truth, and justice

This is a fight for the kind of country we want to be. Send a letter to your MP now and demand better. We’re done with hate. We’re done with lies. We’re done with politicians who think they can turn our lives into a distraction.
